About Your Graduation Lyrics
Modern Baseball‘s tenth track and fifth single, “Your Graduation,” is a song about growing up, losing friends, and saying goodbye to the past. The band has said that the song was inspired by their transition from being a band of high school friends to being a full-fledged rock band with fans around the world.
There are a lot of key moments in the song that help to paint this picture, including the line “you were my best friend until I learned you were just another person,” which highlights the fact that people change as they get older, and those changes can lead to them drifting apart from each other.
Who is Modern Baseball?
Modern Baseball is an American indie rock band formed in 2011. The band consists of Jake Ewald (vocals, guitar), Brendan Lukens (vocals, bass), Ian Farmer (drums), and JT Woodruff (vocals, guitar).
The foursome met at the University of Maryland and formed Modern Baseball while they were still in high school. They released their first EP titled Sports in 2012, which was produced by Steve Evetts.
